Why people tint here

What film does to a car parked in Bay County

Factory glass keeps very little heat out. Film is the one upgrade that fixes that without changing anything else about the vehicle.

  • 99%

    of ultraviolet light blocked

Every LLumar film on our card, including the lightest. That is the part that fades a dash and burns a forearm on the drive home.

  • Same day

    for most cars and trucks

Drop it in the morning and it is usually ready in the afternoon. A full car is a couple of hours in the bay. You are welcome to wait.

  • Lifetime

    manufacturer warranty, registered to you

LLumar’s warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading and purple shift, backed by the manufacturer and honored here. What it covers.

The five films

What a full car costs, by film

Every side window and the back glass. The film decides the number; shade never does, because none of them cost more for darker.

LLumar ATR

Metallized

$289

UV, glare and a lifetime warranty at the entry price. If budget decides it, this is the honest answer.

LLumar CTX

Nano-ceramic

$389

The first ceramic step. Noticeably more heat stopped, and nothing in it to bother a phone or GPS signal.

LLumar Air

Near clear

$550

For drivers who want the heat gone and the glass looking untouched.

LLumar Pinnacle

Ceramic, full range

$550

Same money as Air, aimed the other way: every shade, with ceramic heat rejection behind it.

LLumar Stratos

Top of the range

$689

The most heat stopped per shade, and the one people pick when the car is a keeper.

Two fronts only, back glass alone, a single window and old film removal are on the full price card. Prices before tax; vehicle tint is taxable at 7% in Bay County.

How dark can I go

Florida measures the window, not the film

Your glass already blocks some light from the factory. Film goes on top, and the two multiply. So the number on the film box is not the number a meter reads on your door.

35% film × 75% glass = a 26% window

Which is why shade is settled at our counter, with a meter on your actual car, and not over the phone.

The install

Four steps, in this order

  1. Meter and choose

We read your glass, show you the shades that clear the limit on it, and you pick a film off the card.

  2. Clean the glass

Properly, inside and out. Anything left on the glass is under the film for the life of the film.

  3. Cut by computer

The film is plotted to the pattern for your exact year, make and model. No blade touches your glass or your door seals.

  4. Fit and cure

Applied wet, squeegeed to the edge, and left to cure. Windows stay up for three to five days while it does.

After you drive off

Looking after new film

The first three to five days

Leave the windows up. The film is still bonding to the glass and rolling a window drags the edge. After that, use them normally.

Haze and small water pockets

Normal while it cures. They clear on their own as the water works out, faster in summer than in a cool week. Do not press on them.

Cleaning, forever after

Any ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft cloth, on the inside. Nothing abrasive, no razor blades near the edge.

Straight answers

What drivers ask before they book

How much does it cost to tint a car in Panama City?

Here, a full car runs from $289 in LLumar ATR to $689 in Stratos, every side window and the back glass. Two front windows start at $129 and a single window at $65. The whole card is published, before tax.

How long does the install take?

A full car is usually around two hours in the bay, and most vehicles are done the same day. Say when you need it back and we will tell you straight whether that works.

How dark can I legally go?

It depends on your glass, not just the film, because Florida measures the finished window. Factory glass already blocks some light, so a 35% film on 75% glass reads as a 26% window. We meter your car at the counter before cutting. The full explanation is here.

Will tint interfere with my phone, GPS or key fob?

The ceramic films (CTX, Air, Pinnacle, Stratos) have nothing metallic in them and do not. ATR is a metallized film and in rare cases can weaken an already weak signal; if you rely on a cell booster or a toll tag behind the glass, say so and we will steer you.

My SUV already has dark back glass. Can you match the front doors to it?

Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs here. Factory “privacy glass” is tinted glass, not film, and it does nothing for heat. We match the front doors to it visually, and many people also put a light ceramic over the back glass so it stops heat as well as looking dark.

Can you remove old, bubbled or purple film first?

Yes. Removal is priced as its own line, $150 flat for a whole car or by the area for part of one, and we tell you before we start rather than after. Peeling film takes longer than fitting new film, so it is not folded into the tint price.

What does the warranty actually cover?

LLumar’s lifetime limited warranty covers the film against bubbling, peeling, cracking, fading and turning purple, nationwide, and because we are a SelectPro dealer it is registered to you with the manufacturer rather than resting on our word alone. The details.

Can I wait while it is done?

Yes. There is a clean, air-conditioned waiting area, and a full car is a couple of hours. If you would rather drop it, the shop is on Highway 98 with plenty within walking distance.
